Work out the fee Cornwall Council will charge for your planning application. Choose the type of application, answer a few questions about the scale of the proposal and the calculator gives you the statutory fee, the portal charge on top and the figure that will apply if you submit on or after 8 December 2026, when the new national fee schedule starts. These are the council's fees, not ours; our own fees are set out in a fee proposal once we understand the project.
What the council fee does not cover
The application fee is only one part of the cost of a planning application. Most schemes also need drawings, a location plan and, depending on the site, supporting reports such as a heritage statement, flood risk assessment or ecology survey, and the council will not validate an application without them. If you are not sure what your site needs, our fixed fee desktop appraisal at £129 sets out the designations, the policies and the documents required before any drawings are commissioned, and half of that fee is credited against the application if you instruct us.
